Marie and the Creeps
The exhibition at the Shaw Gallery, Trinity School is the fist time that the Creep series, which dates from 2007 to the present day, has been displayed together.
The Weather Creeps, ancient worried looking beasts began an aesthetic in ceramic which is both beautiful and disturbing, a theme that the most recent work, the Marie vs Elizabeth series builds upon.
Marie vs Elizabeth is a narrative of Mary, Queen of Scots, the Raging Lords who denounced her and her relationship with Elizabeth I.
Work in the Creep series includes ceramic Mexican Wrestler Heads, the magnificent Grande Opera Creeps, Whippet and Hare tales and other curious beasties.
